Just four months before the COVID pandemic hit, I quit my job (insert nervous-looking emoji). That’s not the exciting news. The exciting bit is that, having quit without a backup plan, I was ready for whatever job was out there that wouldn’t drive me insane.
Small problem: the world shut down. So, realizing I’d need to think fast and apply the skills I already had to some form of income, I decided to start freelancing. All hail the new source of income, Elaine Marie Copyediting & Copywriting!
This has been a long-time coming, and it’s still in the fledgling stages of establishment, but I’m proud of how far I’ve come in the past year, and how much motivation, thought, dedication, and love I’ve thrown at this new era in life.
So the pressure is on to perfectly write and edit this post.
What Do I Edit/Write?
I graduated with a B.A. in Communications and have worked in a variety of industries, but every job always threw me into the role of writing and editing copy. So I decided to focus on small businesses and individuals because I know the ins and outs of marketing and business copy, and I have a passion for applying this knowledge to helping people who need more time to focus on the reason they started their business in the first place and just don’t have time for creating or editing extraneous copy.
